Egypt deports 3 Al-Jazeera journalists

Egyptian authorities have deported three members of Al-Jazeera English, after being detained since Tuesday August 27th, and accused of working without proper permits or a license to use satellite transmitters. .

An official at the Cairo airport says the Al-Jazeera correspondents were Wayne Hay, cameraman Adil Bradlow and producer Russ Finn.

Last week, Egypt’s interim government called Al-Jazeera’s local Arabic language channel a threat to national security and ordered it closed.
